SAR Kestrel Full Body Harness

01 Overview

SAR Kestrel Full Body Harness

The SAR Kestrel Full Body harness has front sternal and rear dorsal attachment points for fall arrest connections. SAR recommend the front attachment points be used for fall arrest. The side D's on the Kestrel 4 are for work positioning, these can be folded back when not in use, reducing the risk of inadvertent snagging.

Fitting is normally wrap around but can be left fastened at the chest/sternum connection to give a quicker fitting. Shoulder adjustment buckles use two square link buckles and once adjusted to fit the user will not slip during everyday use.

The leg connection has a choice of buckle fittings - the standard square buckling system or Quick Clip (QC) buckles. Both come with a heavy duty elastic tidy for any excess webbing to be caught.

The Kestrel Harness has the option to have a fixed padding added, giving improved comfort for the user. The padding also makes the harness easier to fit, as it takes out any twists from the webbing. The padding cannot be removed from the harness and should be requested when placing the order.
